Oxygen Nasal Cannula with shape fitting nosepiece and supple tubing is patented so we are the only place that makes it. The nosepiece naturally fits the shape of the face so it wants to stay in place with the prongs pointing correctly. Ordinary cannulas rely on the stiff tubing to keep the nosepiece upright and under the nose. When you turn your head, one hose gets shorter and the other side gets longer and that tends to move the nosepiece out of position. So what do you do? You cinch it tight so it can't move. Now you get deep grooves on the face and sore ears. If you are lucky, the nosepiece prongs aim down the center. If they glue it at a slightly wrong angle, it blows dry oxygen on the nasal wall and causes a bloody nose. Our tubing is so flexible and the nosepiece fits so well that you don't need to cinch it. The tubing is stretchy so you can pull the nosepiece away to blow your nose. It also remains flexible in sub-zero temperatures. The main length of tubing is regular PVC but it is smaller diameter for better flexibility. The slide to tighten the tubing is a unique, twin hole design that lets it move easily when you want but is solid when you don't. The tips of the prongs are super thin so a nose hair deflects the plastic so you don't feel it. The advantages are many. We have been making them since 1999 and no one has ever identified a cannula that is anywhere near as comfortable as ours. The tubing is very special and costs a bundle so it isn't likely to be used by major manufacturers. We also make a lite version of the cannula that is very comfortable and discrete.
